Adjunct Faculty Member - Digital Media Communications

The Digital Media Communications Department invites applications for an Adjunct Professor in Digital Media with emphasis in Video Production. Responsibilities include teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level, interacting with students, and management of video studio production, video laboratories, operations, webcasting, and equipment. Compensation is commensurate with qualifications, including education and experience.

Qualifications:

Earned Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Communications, Media studies, or a related field is required. Significant digital media industry experience will be considered. Higher education teaching experience, as well as practical experience in the field is preferred. Applicants should possess knowledge of new media theory, history, digital storytelling, and modern digital production techniques and practices. Applicants must demonstrate experience in video production technologies including: Final Cut Pro X, Adobe Creative Suite, streaming technologies and systems, visual effects, and motion graphics. Be or become a member of an Assemblies of God church.

The Department:

The Digital Media Communications Department currently serves 122 undergraduate students offering programs in: Digital Media Studies, Digital Media- Video Production, Digital Media- Photography, Digital Media- Recording Arts, Digital Media- Web Design & Development, Digital Media- Graphic Design, as well as Social Media Management, and a Master of Digital Media Communications. The department houses a 15 station video production classroom, 15 station audio production classroom, HD Broadcast Studio, HD Recording Studio, Video Studio, as well as 48ft Mobile Media Command Center.
