Master of Music in Music Technology Application

To be eligible for acceptance into the Music Technology program you must:

• Submit official undergraduate and graduate transcripts. Send official transcripts of credit earned at all institutions of higher education. The program will accept up to six transfer credits of graduate education.
• Complete and submit the Graduate Studies Online Application.
• Submit three Letters of Reference. Submit two letters of reference from professors who are familiar with your work and one personal reference from someone familiar with your character.
• Submit the $25 Application Fee.
• Submit any research paper or sample writing.
• Schedule Interview/Audition. An audition with a designated faculty member of the program will be scheduled with you prior to applying. Within the interview/audition, you should have prepared two performance pieces on your primary instrument. Further interview process includes a sight singing demonstration, musicianship test and basic piano skills.
• Complete the Music Entrance Exam. The exam, comprised of music theory, history and literature will be scheduled with a designated faculty member of the program prior to applying.
• Submit the $25 Application Fee.

Master of Arts in Worship Studies Application

To be eligible for acceptance into the Worship Studies Program, you must:

• Submit official undergraduate and graduate transcripts. Send official transcripts of credit earned at all institutions of higher education. The program will accept up to six transfer credits of graduate education.
• Complete and submit the Graduate Studies Online Application.
• You should complete and submit a 15-page paper on your theology of worship.
• Submit three letters of reference. Submit two letters of reference from professors who are familiar with your work and one personal reference from someone familiar with your character.
• Submit the $25 Application Fee.

Master of Arts in Christian Leadership Application

To be eligible for acceptance into the Christian Leadership program, you must:

• Hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.
• Have a minimum of six undergraduate or graduate credits in Bible/Theology. If less than six credits have been earned, you must score a 95 or higher on the Bible Content Exam provided by VFCC.
• Submit official undergraduate and graduate transcripts. Send official transcripts of credit earned at all institutions of higher education. The program will admit up to six transfer credits of graduate education.
• Complete and submit the Graduate Studies Online Application.
• Complete the GRE (Graduate Record Exam) or MAT (Miller Analogies Test) OR a portfolio as a substitute to the GRE/MAT scores. Please note that test scores must be no more than five years old. The portfolio option must consist of at least 25 pages of work demonstrating writing ability, research and critical thinking skills.
• Submit three letters of reference. Submit two letters of reference from professors who are familiar with your work and one personal reference from someone familiar with your character.
• Submit the $25 Application Fee.

Master of Arts in Theology Application

To be eligible for acceptance into the Theology Program, you must:

• Hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.
• Have a minimum of twelve undergraduate or graduate credits in Bible/Theology. If less than twelve credits have been earned, you must score 95 or higher on the Bible Content Exam provided by VFCC.
• Submit official undergraduate and graduate transcripts. Send official transcripts of credit earned at all institutions of higher education. The program will accept up to six transfer credits of graduate education.
• Complete and submit the Graduate Studies Online Application.

Non-Matriculating Students

Non-matriculating students may take the first two courses in the Graduate Studies Program without making a full application to the program. However, you do not qualify for Federal Financial Aid.

The non-matriculating student must meet the first three admissions requirements. If after the first two courses, you wish to move on in the program, you must make a full application. If you achieve an A or B in the first two courses, you may substitute this for the portfolio requirement. The other admissions documents will be required as stated above.

Cross-Cultural Experiences

One of the distinguishing aspects of the Christian Leadership and Theology Masters degrees at Valley Forge Christian College is the requirement to function and study cross culturally through global experiences.

• You will complete two of the experiences as part of your graduate education.
• Theology students will focus on theological issues in cross cultural settings while Christian Leadership students will focus on leadership issues in cross cultural settings.
• The cross-cultural experiences provide a life impacting exposure to study other cultures.
• The trips are designed to occur in other countries and within cross cultural settings in the United States. You will select national or international cross cultural experiences to participate in. All sites must be approved by the program director.
• The expectation is that all trips will last for a minimum of 7-10 days with pre- and post-class work required.
• For those of you unable to travel outside of the country, the program can be tailored to allow settings in which the trips can function within Metropolitan communities, or other cross-cultural venues.
• To make the experience more affordable, after the trip is completed tuition fees will be used to reimburse you for select travel expenses.
