Amy Thurston graduated from Southeastern University with a Bachelor’s degree in Youth Ministry and a minor in Counseling. She is a licensed minister in the Assemblies of God and has worked in Higher Education since 2002. In 2004, Amy started working as a Residence Director in the Office of Student Life at Valley Forge Christian College. She served 5 years in Student Life and 2 years as the Associate Director of Recruitment in Admissions before moving into the role of Director of Student Success and Career Services (The Center). Amy had such a passion for students and their calling in life. She told her husband that her dream job would be to love and invest in the lives of students, while being one of their biggest fans by believing in the calling God had on their lives. When she was able to start the “The Center” she began to see her dreams come true. Amy's favorite part of working at VFCC is when she met her husband Steve, who also works at VFCC! They love mentoring students and leading Chapel electives dealing with relationships.
Steve Stein graduated from Valley Forge Christian College with a Bachelor’s degree in Youth Ministry. He is a licensed minister in the Assemblies of God and has worked in Higher Education since 2008. Steve started working in the Office of the Registrar for three years. This helped him gain the experience that he now draws upon for his current position in "The Center". Steve has always had a passion and burden for students and is able to minister to them and feels blessed for such an opportunity. Steve’s favorite part of working at VFCC is when he gets to meet with the students one-on-one to help, assist and mentor them. He is heavily involved as an advisor for three different student ministry groups and loves every minute of it. Steve’s wife of 18 years works at the college as well and assists him in his ministry.
