He learned Spanish as he played on the streets with his friends, and got to travel to the jungles of Paraguay to minister to people who had never even heard the name of Jesus. As a child, Justin saw supernatural miracles and learned early in life who God was. He graduated with six of his close friends from an English-speaking high school in Mexico.

In 2003, he moved back to the States and began attending school at Valley Forge Christian College. He declared a Vocal Performance major, but decided to switch to World Missions after a year. During one missions chapel, he sang on the worship team with Jamie Kuert '05, who became his wife in 2006. On June 5, 2007, their daughter, Isabella Rose, was born.

Although Justin and Jamie had a heart to work with children overseas, their school loan debt wouldn't allow them to apply to be missionaries right away. Justin's goal was to get a good job to pay off their loans and he began working for Fed Ex and building homes with the Amish. He also tried to gain as much experience as possible in his church, especially in music.

In 2008, he met a friend at church who worked at Sight and Sound in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and who encouraged Justin to apply to the company. Not long after, Justin was hired and cast as the Baby Elephant in In the Beginning. As plans for the next production, Joseph, got underway, Justin was given the opportunity to sing the promotional song, "When Dreams Come True." Justin even had the opportunity toy travel to Florida to sing the song at the Latin America Assemblies of God World Missions Conference. The theme of the conference was "Dreams Do Come True."

When performances of Joseph began in 2010, Justin was primarily cast as a brother, and also as a backup Joseph. This year, God opened the doors even further and he was cast as the shared primary Joseph, which means that he now performs as Joseph in every other show every day.

Justin, Jamie, and little Isabella continue to pray that they will thrive where God has placed them. Jamie runs a bed and breakfast in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, and the family enjoys being involved in their church, New Life Assembly of God. They still have a heart for missions, especially Europe, and are open to whatever God puts in their path. Their prayer is that, someday, they can combine missions and inspirational music to bring people, especially children, to the Lord.
